Out of hibernation

So, we've been hibernating.

But we're back now.

Thank you to all the writers who have submitted new work that is being carefully considered for a place in the Platform showcase. We have been inundated with submissions again which is great but inevitably means that the wait time for a response has been much longer than anticipated. Apologies if that applies to you.

We've thought long and hard about how to reduce the wait time and have only been able to come up with one answer. Although it isn't one that sits particularly well with us and is something we've fought hard to avoid we are having to make a few changes to our submission criteria.

1. We will from now on only be able to respond to a piece if it has been accepted to appear on Platform. You will receive communication from us within 6 weeks.

2. We are reducing the submission word limit to 3000 words.
